Thursday Night Football Betting Report: Week 4

Week 4 begins. And if you love sports, this is Christmas morning with better food and worse decisions. NFL under the lights, Ryder Cup, college football chaos, and the MLB playoff race coming down to the wire. This weekend is pure gambling overload.

But first — let’s handle Thursday night.

The Game: Seahawks @ Cardinals

Seattle rolls in with the public behind them like they’re the 2007 Patriots. Where is the money? 79% of the money on moneyline tickets is on Seattle. 87% of the money on spread tickets is on Seattle.

Which means one thing: I’m fading all of you.

Short weeks are brutal. Travel matters. Home field matters. And more often than not, the weird team at home shows up. That’s Arizona tonight.

MaxT’s Card

  • Arizona ML
If everyone’s lining up for one side, I’ll happily take the other. The Cards at home on a Thursday night is exactly the kind of ugly dog you ride until the wheels fall off.
  • Kenneth Walker Anytime TD (+100)
He’s been Seattle’s finisher, and goal-line carries don’t lie. Even if I’m fading the Seahawks overall, Walker punching one in is a good bet.
  • Marvin Harrison Jr Over 50.5 receiving yards (−112)
He is more than capable of having huge games, as we saw last year. He’s a big-play threat and should see enough targets to crack 50 with Zay Jones out.
  • Kyler Murray Over 29.5 rushing yards (−112)
Kyler in primetime = legs. He’s cleared this in 3 of 3 so far, and against a Seattle defense that can be stretched horizontally, I love him to get 30+. He may be thrown into the game plan more often with James Connor out.

The Final Word

It’s ugly. It’s contrarian. It’s a Thursday night home dog. That’s the recipe.

Arizona, Walker in the end zone, Harrison through the air, and Kyler with his legs.

The public is all over Seattle. I’ll take the other side and happily drown with the Cards if I’m wrong.

Week 4 is here — let’s start it with a sweat. 🐳
